We are just a few days away from the Minnesota Home Care Association’s Future of Home Care Conference and Technology Expo. The conference takes place at the Ramada Bloomington Hotel in Minneapolis on January 28th. This event is unique from most of the other conferences we will be attending this year, as it focuses solely on technology and emerging innovations in the home care space.

I have outlined two sessions below that you will not want to miss.

1. A WINNING APPROACH TO PAYMENT REFORM STRATEGIES

Session by: Robert Simone, Managing Principal, Simone Healthcare Consultants and Marvin Javellana, Owner, Better Care Home Health, Inc., Illinois

Marvin has remained ahead of the curve when it comes to working with insurance payors, bundled payments and outstanding outcome scores. Combine that with Rob’s incredible knowledge of the industry at large and his years of experience as a consultant and you have what will amount to one of the best sessions of the year.

2. HOME CARE TECHNOLOGY TRANSFORMATION - CHANGE ISN'T COMING. IT'S HERE!

Session by: Thomas Ardolf, President, Cybermation, Mary Chapa, Technology Enabled Care Specialist, Ebenezer; Joel Prevost, Minneapolis Campus Administrator, Ebenezer; Deb Valley, Lifeline Manager, Fairview Home Care & Hospice

By reading the title alone, you should know why this session interests me so much. I pride myself on keeping up with the newest emerging technologies in the home-based services space, and I know that the need for further applied technology and software is already here. Learn about new innovations that can transform the way you administer care, as well as the impact that not having the software can create.

This one-day conference wraps up with a networking reception in the exhibit hall, where you can meet with the exhibitors and sponsors that made the conference possible. Regional Account Executive Andy Harlen will be representing PlayMaker CRM, and he would love to discuss your sales technology needs for the upcoming year. Enjoy the conference!
