Inefficient and outdated systems are counterintuitive to sales growth. Their lack of transparency often results in missed opportunities and profit loss in the form of reduced market share and presence. More and more, post-acute healthcare companies are realizing that in order to stay competitive in the marketplace, they must adapt their business practices.
Each year, Hospice Works does a Forum that is usually clinical in nature. This year they decided to go non-clinical and focus on leadership, compliance, marketing, human resources, finance and fund development. This will provide a unique opportunity to focus in on those areas from a unique point-of-view. You will not want to miss out!
The Maryland Hospital Association Leadership Summit will be held at Turf Valley Resort in Ellicott City on May 24, and it is shaping up to be a great event! We are excited to be a part of The Maryland-National Capital Homecare Association as a vendor partner. Ann Horton and her team have been helping post-acute care agencies across the spectrum stay ahead of the regulatory changes and working to provide opportunities for their members to succeed.
Last year, there was a buzz about having the New England Home Care & Hospice Conference at Foxwoods. I remember thinking, “what is the big deal about this place?” Well, on May 16th through May 18th, I am about to find out! This conference is an incredible opportunity for nine states to gather, place their collective minds together, and learn how to achieve their goals for the year. It feels like family at this conference and it is one of the few I look forward to above all others.
If you haven't started using social media to promote your company yet, you’re way behind. With the explosion of sites like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube, reaching your potential customers through these channels is an opportunity that you simply can’t ignore. By using social media, you can raise awareness about your services, give followers up-to-date information on events you are hosting, and provide patients, clients or referral sources a direct way to interact with you.
The DecisionHealth Home Health Administrator’s Summit will be held at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, May 11–13, 2016. The wealth of knowledge combined with top-notch speakers make DecisionHealth events some of the highest-value conferences we attend. This year in particular, they seem to have some incredible speakers and I personally am excited to attend. In this blog, I will focus on the main conference dates, but if you can, you will not want to miss Rob Rossi from CareForce Solutions during the pre-conference on May 11. He has the unique ability to make difficult technology decisions manageable for agencies that would normally struggle to make appropriate choices.
This year’s annual CAHSAH Conference marks their 50th anniversary and will be held at the Anaheim Marriot Hotel on May 10th through May 12th. This particular association was one of the first to embrace and further solidify private pay as a part of the spectrum of care. They have been a voice not just for the home health and hospice agencies of California, but for post-acute care as an industry and we are excited to have Amir Kahn supporting this milestone anniversary.
Have you ever had a great teacher? They often share certain attributes. They inspire, make difficult subjects easy to understand, and even change the lives of their students. We tend to revere our teachers much like a patient does a physician. We believe that they have studied the subject matter they are teaching us and are an authority on the matter. Great sales professionals have those same characteristics.
